Pathogenesis

A
  • Hormone dependent
  • Estrogen and Progestin receptors
  • High estrogen cause fibrinoid enlargement
  • First trimester fibrinoid enlarges
  • Shrinks after puerperium
  • Some dec in size during pregnancy due to prgestin
  • Shrink after menopause
  • Regrowth after hormonal therapy
