A

EU directive weighting function to modify spectral irradiance to take into account the wavelength dependency of adverse health effects on the skin and eyes. After application, data is in terms of effective irradiance.

A
  • Standard erythemal dose is a standard amount of erythemally weighted radiation 100 J/m^2. Several SED would typically be required to cause erythema.
  • Minimal erythemal dose is the minimum dose require to show erythema in an individual.
