Small amounts of inactive or dead pathogens are put in to your body through injection. The specific antibody to that antigen is then found and more is made of it. Your are immune to future infection y the pathogen. That’s because your body responds rapidly and makes the correct antibody

What is digitalis used for
It is used to treat heart conditions and to regulate heart rate
What is penicillin used for
To treat bacterial infection
What are all the stage of a drug trial
Lab stage 1, Lab stage 2, Clinical stage 1, clinical stage 2, clinical stage 3
What happens in Lab Stage 1 and why
Tissue samples are taken and computer emulation to see the interaction between the drug and cells
What happens in Lab Stage 2 and why
Animal testing to test for its toxicity
What happens in Clinical Stage 1 and why
Healthy people are tested to see any side effects on healthy people
What happens in Clinical Stage 2 and why
Testing on people with related illness to see any side effects on the ill people
What happens in Clinical Stage 3 and why
Large numbers of people with the illness or related illness to get full drug info
