Q

Describe the Lytic Cycle

A
  1. bacteriophage attach to cell wall
  2. enzymes release to dissolve the wall
  3. injects virus DNA into the host
  4. DNA takes over and replicates
  5. destroys host

Q

Describe the Lysogenic cycle

A
  1. Bacteriophage attach to cell wall
  2. dissolve wall
  3. inject DNA into host
  4. DNA combines with host in a manner that does not interfere with host cell
  5. slowly takes down host
