For healthy individuals is 120/80 more or less 10
For hypertension patients is 130/90
Normal heart rate
60-100
Normal respiratory rate
For adults is 12-20
What is the expected BP by palpating arteries ( carotid, femoral, radial, dorsalis pedis )
If carotid pulse is palpable → systolic pressure likely ≥ 60 mm Hg
If femoral pulse is palpable → systolic pressure likely ≥ 70 mm Hg
If radial pulse is palpable → systolic pressure likely ≥ 80 mm Hg
If dorsalis pedis pulse is palpable → systolic pressure likely ≥ 90 mm
How many unit /liter of blood a person can donante?
around 470ml of whole blood = 8% of the average adult’s blood volume.
A person can donate up to 2 unites of blood at the same time
The body replaces this volume within 24 to 48 hours, and replenishes red blood cells in 10 to 12 weeks.
How much blood loss needed to cause coma? And how much to cause death?
Losing 50% of the blood in your body may be fatal,
40% causes coma
14% without any major side effects
