What do red blood cells do?
Carry oxygen around the body where it helps to release the energy

Cannot be absorbed by the body unless it is eaten with foods containing vitamin C(fruit and veg)

Helps the body absorb non-haem iron in the bloodstream
Boosts the immune system
Helps avoid minor infections such as the cold or flue
