Thrombosis risk

  • Dehydration, acute illness, age > 60
  • Normal PE/DVT risks
  • Specific surgical/admission-related risks

Bleeding risk
- HAS-BLED

A

Thrombosis risk > bleeding risk
- VTE prophylaxis - consider weight and eGFR for drug choice and dose

No thrombosis risk, or bleeding risk > thrombosis risk:
- No VTE prophylaxis
