Why do you think we should be more concerned with the “substance of the book” than “with the process by which we received it”?
Because the purpose of translating the book is to provide a second testament of Jesus Christ so the world would know that He is the true Lord of the earth. We build our testimony on that first because it builds our relationship with Christ rather than Joseph.
Record experiences you have had that have helped you come to know the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. You will be given an opportunity, if you choose, to share your own witness during class.
I think Jesus visiting the Americas and delivering the same message as he did in Jerusalem satisfies my testimony of the Book of Mormon. Also I prayed to know Joseph was a prophet.
What truths from the Book of Mormon have strengthened your faith in Jesus Christ and His restored gospel?
Christs atonement, repentance for our sins and resurrection. The testimony of miracles happening for those that believe in him.
How have studying and living the teachings found in the Book of Mormon helped you draw nearer to God? I feel elevated and like a better person. I love king Benjamin’s humility and example of servant leadership.
