A
  • He didn’t get the American economy out of the Depression & his policies didn’t beat high unemployment.
  • He didn’t do enough for certain groups (minorities).
  • Made the central gov & the presidency too powerful, damaging the constitution & the interdependence of the Supreme Court.
  • Interfered too much in people’s lives - taking away their self-reliance.
  • Prevented businesses from recovering as quickly as it might have done by creating so many rules and regulations and helping the growth of powerful unions.
