What does dominant mean?
An allele in a pair that’s charactersitics show
What does recessive mean?
An allele in a pair that’s charactersitics does not show
What does homozygous mean?
Both alleles in the pair are the same
What does heterozygous mean?
The alleles in the pair are the different
What does phenotype mean?
What the person looks like (eg blue eyes)
What does genotype mean?
The code for the 2 alleles (eg BB or Bb)
How was the early atmosphere made?
Gases released from volcanoes
What gases were present in the earth’s early atmosphere?
No oxygen, lots of carbon dioxide, water vapour and small amounts of other gases
