Components to Head to Toe
A
General Survey: skin , appearance, breathing, hygiene, posture)
1. Skin: color, lesions, moles, hair palpate for temperature, turgor, moisture, tenderness, lumps ( risk for pressure ulcer)
2. Head: symmetry, expression, fascial movement
3. Neuro: LOC , Orientation x3, Memory, behaviour, affect, speech, sensory , perrla , motor ( Eyes: symmetrical, conjunctiva, blink) Ears hearing , lesions)
4. Neck: ROM, carotid arteries, lymph nodes JVD
5. Upper and lower Extremities: C-S-M Temperature, nail, clubbing, edema, pulses, Joints ROM

- Without disease ,disability, ability to maintain good physical wellbeing and cognitive functions in society.

Changes in the Body
A
- Integumentary: loose skin, age spots, lesions
- Head/Neck: facial expression, asymmetry, vision
- Respiration: decreased cough, increase risk, decreased expansion, increased rate shallow, increased, muscle stiffness. Muffled tactile fermitus.
- Cardiovascular: decreased strength, lower CO, may have increased pulse
-GI increased fat, slower peristalsis, delayed urination and bowl emptying, - Urinary Issues: Urinary retention ( poor bladder emptying)
Urinary incontinence ( unable to control emptying) stress urinary incontinece ( loss of urinary control during pressure cough, sneezing)
Musclular: reduced fibers, decreased mass
