data characteristics for quality information

A

Accurate → Correct and complete e.g wrong student email address (typos, human errors, unclear
abbreviations)
Timely → Available in time for its intended use (stock market)
Relevant → Relevant both to the context and to the subject (CEO → Hourly wages for all
employees —> HR Staff)
Just barely sufficient → Sufficient for the purpose (too much info and ignore some info → info
overloaded) → the higher you rise into management, the more data you will be given, and the
more data you will need to ignore. So, good use of IS could help you save much time in getting
useful information
Worth Its Cost → There are costs for developing, operating, and maintaining IS
