Obligations of the Civil Engineer
A
- perform scope of service
- exercise reasonable skill, care, diligence
- professional judgment
- faithful to client
- give notice to changes
- seek approval of client
- cooperate and integrate work w/other proffesionals
- hire personnel for subcontrat or specific parts of work
- notify client of any interest which may have conflict with their contract

Obligation of Client
A
- pay engineer
- provide all info needed fpr the project
- cooperate with the engineer
- schedule for engineer’s site inspection
- arrange for the provision of services and bear all costs
- give all instructions to the engineer
- when needed changes notify Engineer on writing

Liability of the Civil Engineer and the Client
A
- Engineer pay for damages to the client if due to breach of duty
- client pay for damages to the Engineer if due to breach of duty
- Resolution to any conflict in agreement shall be done by giving preference

Limitation of Civil Engineer’s Responsibility
A
- no liability for damages from errors in documents/plans/designs
- not responsible for assurance of competence of other third parties
- not responsible for the methods adopted by any contractor or other third party

Suspension or Termination of Services
A
- if the RCE finds himself unqualified to do the work/services, shall notify the client
- provide extension for cases of delay
- client may suspend the engineer not less than 30 days prior to stoppage
- engineer by written notice of not less than 30 days suspended services
