What is the UML?
A standardised family of graphical diagrams and notations that help in describing and designing object-oriented software systems.
What are the ‘Three Amigos’?
James Rumbaugh, Grady Booch and Ivar Jacobson. They developed their own modelling languages separately and then combined to create UML.
What is a graphical modelling language?
A modeling language is any artificial language that can be used to express information or knowledge or systems in a structure that is defined by a consistent set of rules. The rules are used for interpretation of the meaning of components in the structure.
What is a meta language?
Language used in talking about language.
What is COBRA?
Common Object Request Broker Architecture, set of standards used by the Object Management Group.
