Natural precipitation, including snow-melt, that has contacted a surface at or below grade.
Storm Water
A drain that collects subsurface water or seepage water and conveys
such water to a place of disposal.
Subsoil Drain
A pipe inside the building that conveys storm water from the roof to a storm
or combined building drain
Conductor
A drain installed to receive water collecting on the surface of a roof and to discharge such water into a leader or a conductor
Roof Drain
A small covered tank for storing water for a home or farm. Generally, ithis tank stores rainwater to be utilized for purposes other than in the potable water supply, and such
tank is placed underground in most cases
Cistern
A receptacle designed to collect surface or storm water from an open area
Area Drain
The minimum cross-sectional area at the point of water supply
discharge, measured or expressed in terms of the diameter of a circle or, if the opening is not circular, the diameter of a circle of equivalent cross-sectional area. For faucets and similar fitings, the effective opening shall be measured at the smallest orifice in the fitting body or in the supply piping to the fitting.
Effective Opening
Private water supplies and recycled water systems are regulated by the Ohio Department of Health rules found in Chapter 3701-28 of the Administrative Code

pipe.
