A
North Koreas aggressions-(division of Korea,bitter rivalry,support of Stalin,collapse of south)
Policy of containment- (opposing ideologies,communism in Europe, Communism in Asia).

What did USA do for South Korea
A
They provided 50 percent of ground troops for UN force and 90 percent of navy and Air Force. Placed general Douglas MacArthur in charge of operation.

Main reason for USA involvement?
A
North’s aggression because it mean there was a war where USA was keep to intervene.
Policy of containment meant that US was alert but the decision to act was reactive not proactive.
The support of the UN gave the US confidence, but she’d have intervened anyway.
