what are the 3 types of wmds

- chemical
- biological
- nuclear


what a chemical weapon

weapon that uses things such as gases to poison, suffocate or kill people


what is a biological weapon

spreading viruses and diseases through water or food supplies of an area in order to infect people


what is a nuclear weapon

weapon which uses nuclear energy to produce large explosions and destruction

- acts as a deterrence (discourage attack)\
- maintain peace
- use of other wmds is made less likely
