Where to place and how to place comas near subordinating conjunctions?
Subordinating Conjunctions(
* A comma is used only when the conjunction comes before the sentence. You do not need a comma if the conjunction separates the two ideas.
* Before they went to the store, they went to lunch.
⚫ In this example, “store” and “they” would be confusing next to each other.
They went to lunch before they went to the store.
⚫ No comma needed in this sentence.
* You only need a comma in this instance to clearly separate the main sentence from the transition.
