Describe the phonological loop?
consists of the articulatory loop which allows for maintenance rehearsal

Describe the visuo-spatial sketchpad
Has two sub-systems
- visual cache + inner scribe
also known as the ‘inner eye’ deals with visual and spatial information
What is the visual cache?
stores visual data
What is the inner scribe?
records arrangement of objects in the visual field
What was the dual task performance?
Baddely and Hitchs study stating that we can perform two tasks simultaneously as long as they are from different slave systems
