What is a trench system and what was trench life like?
The trench system was where soldiers would live and fight during the war. Trench life was hard because it was cold, muddy, wet, and full of rats and diseases. Soldiers would often live in fear of attacks and didnt sleep well.

Propaganda, Victory Gardens, influencing businessed to focus on helping the military, Selective Service Acts, and production of military equipment from factories.

How did the US switch from consumer production to military production in WW1?
Factories started making more war like materials such as weapons and tanks instead of their previous stuff. They started making more stuff for soldiers rather than consumers.
