- Greek leaders council at night, deciding to send a spy to gather intelligence on the Trojans. - Diomedes volunteers, and Odysseus joins him to sneak into the Trojan camp under cover of darkness. - They trick and kill the Trojan spy Dolon, who was sent to spy on the Greeks. - Diomedes and Odysseus then attack the Thracian camp, killing King Rhesus and many of his men. - They steal Rhesus’ prized horses before slipping away unseen. The raid weakens the Trojans, disrupting their morale and supplies The Greeks return safely, bringing valuable intelligence and spoils.
