Why did Japan invade Manchuria?
US trade barriers put japan into a depression so japan couldn’t import any food in order to feed it’s people. They invaded to gain access to the goods
What did they do to invade Manchuria?
Japanese claimed the south Manchurian railway and used this to overrun Manchuria. Here they set up a puppet government and later bombed shanghai
What is communism?
A society where there is no private property and social class and all decisions are done by the entire population.
What is fascism?
Where most of a countries power is held by 1 person or 1 small group.
Why did people vote for the Nazis?
- Mass poverty in lower classes
- Support from businesses
- Wall street crash
- Restoring German pride
- Promised to end unemployment crisis

What significance did the Spanish civil war have in WW2?
Spain were a fascist country and so we’re Germany so Hitler believed that he could cause chaos in Spain to get them out of the picture
What is appeasement in WW2
Giving stuff to Germany in order to prevent them from starting war

- Bombing ports to disrupt import
- Hope to reduce civilian moral
- Caused US and Britain to start their own strategic bombing of germany

The longest and most intense naval campaign of WW2 which involved German U-boats and warships against allied merchant ships and naval escorts.

Nazi Germany’s invasion of the soviet union on June 22 of 1941 which was designed to expand German territory and create “living space”
