Who made up the Allies?
Great Britain, France, Italy, Russia, and the US
Who made up the Central Powers?
Austria-Hungry, Germany, The Ottoman Empire.
What was the spark/ what started WWI
The assassination of Austria-Hungry’s Arch-Duke Franz Ferdinand.
What was trench warfare?
When army’s dug trenches and fought from there.
What was the space in between trenches called?
No mans land
What were weapons introduced in WWI?
Flame throwers, tanks, machine guns, long range artillery, airplanes, submarine, and poison gas.
What did the US practice at the beginning of the war?
Isolationism
What happend with the Lusitania?
It was a passenger ship with US citizens on it that Germany sank.
What happens with the Zimmerman telegram?
It was a secret message Germany sent to mexico asking them to turn on the US.
What caused the US to join the war?
Both the Zimmerman Telegram and the sinking of the Lusitania.

What was Woodrow Wilson plan for after the war called and what did it call for?
The “fourteen points” planned to make an international league of nations to keep peace, and that people own their country.

- Germany and Austria-Hungry are guilty for the war
- Allied forces get $33 billion
- Everyones military decreases to 100,000
- Rhineland was demilitarized.
-Give Alsace+Lorraine back land to France.

How did farmers benefit from WWI?
Cotton and food were needed more for the war, so prices went up and farmers made more.
How did textile mills/factories benefit from WWI
As demand went up, so did profit.
