XM250
The XM250 is a lightweight, gas-operated, air-cooled and belt-fed system. It has a collapsible buttock and recoil mitigation system. The weapon is used by ground forces in a squad automatic weapon role, utilizing 6.8X51mm ammunition, fired from the open bolt position.

XM250 Clearing Procedure
- Place selector lever to safe.
- Pull charging handle rearward, locking the bolt to the rear. Return charging handle to its forward position.
- Push cover latch forward and open feed tray cover
- Remove ammunition belt and any loose links from feed tray.
5.Raise feed tray to visually inspect chamber ensuring it is empty. If any round is still in the chamber, refer to ruptured/stuck cartilage case or live round procedures. - Lower feed tray.
- Place selector lever to auto or semi.
- Pull and hold charger to rear, press trigger and ease operating group fully forward.
- Ensure charging handle is locked forward.
- Place selector lever on safe.
