Q

Oxygen mask EMERGENCY/ Test selector
- Normal position
- Emergency

A

N - air/oxygen mix or 100% oxygen on demand (dependent of regulator dilution control setting). It automatically supplies 100% oxygen under positive pressure when cabin altitude above preset value.

E- 100% oxygen under positive pressure with any cabin altitude (this mode depletes oxygen at a quicker rate.

Q

Flight deck door
- electrical power
- key lock
- emergency access panel

A

E - flight deck door closes with electrical power, opens with electrical power
K - [passenger cabin side] key lock has 3 positions: both locked, one locked or unlocked.

E - 6 buttons keypad.
🛑 door locked, when correct code entered:
🟧 AUTO UNLK and flight deck chime sounds: correct code and
- no pilot action: door unlocks after time delay
- pilot selects UNLK: door opens
- pilots selects: DENY: door lock denies entry and prevents further keypad entry for several minutes

17
Q

LOWER CARGO COMPARTMENTS
- designed
- doors
- pressure
- depressurize

A

D - fully confire fire without endangering aircraft of pax. Sealed and pressurized, but NO fresh air circulation or temperature control.
D - 2 inward opening [from inside or outside opening] pressure doors. Each closed and locked by 2 latches.

P - each compartment has 1 aft pressure equalization valve (airflow in or out the compartment) to have approximately same pressure as cabin.

D - aircraft depressurization: blowout panels to relieve pressure quicker than pressure equalization valves.

18
Q

OVERWING EXIT DOORS
- escape straps
- Auto lock
- unlocked

A

E - on top of overing emergency exit

AUTOLOCK [28V DC flight lock system] will auto lock when:
- at least 3 entry/service doors are closed and locked AND
- either engine is running AND
- aircraft air/ground logic indicates in air and both thrust levers are advanced

U - unlocked when any of 3 above does not meet OR DC power is lost

19
Q

🟧 LEFT/RIGHT OVERWING
🟧 DOORS
🟧 MASTER CAUTION

A

When emergency exit door is not fully closed or when flight lock is not engaged during takeoff rol or in flight

20
Q

🟧 PSEU
🟧 OVERHEAD
🟧 MASTER CAUTION

A

Flight lock failed or fault detected
- Lights are PROHIBITED from Takeoff until 30 seconds after Landing

21
Q

Electricity for Galleys

A

115V AC from Aircraft transfer buses. Circuit breakers are located in the lower E/E bay as part of power distribution panels.

22
Q

Potable water system
- where
- pressure
- quantity indicator
- shutoff valve

A

W - single tank behind aft cargo, supplies water to galleys and lavatory sinks.
P - pressurized by ENG bleed air or by water system air compressor
Q - quantity indicator on attendant panel
S - Shutoff valves located on each galley and below the sink in each lavatory.

23
Q

Potable water system
- hot water
- cold water
- serviced
- waste

A

H - water heater is located below the lavatory sink, when empty: heated again In 4 minutes. 🟧 Light is illuminated when heater is operating. Heater has overheat switch which stops heating when excess temperature.

C - supplied to galleys
S - serviced on right aft exterior panel: pressurized filling required.
W - waste water from galleys/lavatory drained overboard through 2 heated drain mast, one aft one forward.
