Q

What is the Hidden Markov Model (HMM)?

A

an observable process whose outcomes depend on the outcomes of in a known way. Since cannot be observed directly, the goal is to learn about state of by observing

input symbols are not the same as the states

Q

How would we solve the Problem 1:Computing the observation likelihood?

A

the Forward algorithm - a method used in Hidden Markov Models to compute the probability of a sequence of observed outputs up to a certain time, given the current state and model parameters

Q

How do we solve the Decoding Problem?
