What is meant by a visual prototype ?
A
- a sample or model that shows the overall shape and size of the product , dosent consist of working parts
- tests the visual impact a product may have

What is meant by proof of concept prototype ?
A
- key functionality and main technical aspects of the design
- not intended to look like the final product , not made from production grade material
- may look like existing of the self components
- allows designers to test the functions to see see if the work as intended
- many proof of concept prototypes could be made and tested prior to a solution being found

What is meant by production prototypes ?
A
- a representation of how the mass produced product will look and function
A materials will be close to production grade as possible , unless this is not economically viable
- production prototypes will be marketed in small user trials prior to a full production run
- manufactured may produce an initial batch of products for testing , trialling and further refining prior to a full production run
