  1. ORAL:
    1. epigastric pain
    2. nausea, vomiting
    3. diarrhea/constipation
    4. black stool (also in bismuth compound treatment or BLEEDING in the upper GI-tract)
    5. staining of teeth (oral prep.)
  2. PARENTERAL: (very dangerous, only in hospital setting)
    1. flushing
    2. hypotension
    3. inj. site reactions
