Therapy- remediation, personality reconstruction, longer duration, unconscious material, past issues
Type of group: help healthy individuals to deal better with normal life transitions
Personal Growth Group
Group leaders focused on a goal or outcome
Product Leaders
Group leaders focused on using personal power and attractiveness
Charismatic Leaders
Group leaders focused on Impact of their own behavior on themselves and other group members, usually focused on the present moment
Confrontive Leaders
Group leaders: focus on here and now, the meaning of behavior, often seen as charismatic and less peer oriented
Speculative Leaders
When group members gang up on a group member
Scapegoating
Group role: secretly wishes they were running the group
Gatekeeper
Group role: tells irrelevant tales of woe
