A
Attend the scene immediately
Ensure the safety of the public, The officers and the suspect.
Secure the scene and evidence.
Maintain the continuity of evidence.
Notify the OIC and TPOC. Once contacted by the SIU Designated Authority brief them accordingly.
Be cognizant of the original Incident and Manager that ongoing investigation accordingly.
Notify applicable units, hold up, drug squad, homicide etc.
Ascertain if the suspect injuries fall within the SAU mandate. If the suspect has attended the hospital ensure that you attend or another supervisor to qualify/undertake do I qualify the injuries if they’re SIU.
