737 Opening Door Procedure

Ensure door is disarmed

Verify girt bar is secured to slide cover brackets.

Rotate door operating handle in direction of arrow.

Door will move inboard and then start to swing outboard and forward.

Hold door-mounted assist handle, push door to the full open position; hold on using the a/c-mounted assist handle.

When door is fully open and parallel to the fuselage, gust lock will engage and door will remain open.
