  • Perceptions change as people get older
  • 5 year olds enjoy the park, teenagers may not (antisocial behaviour)
  • Park used for swings as a child, later used for skateboarding when a teenager
  • Places previously visited may have been enjoyable when younger, not so much when older due to different interest

-Young people who move out will have relatively little money and will likely be studying, night clubs / libraries, ECT

  • 28 to 30 million living in heartland
  • 2 to 3 million living outside of the region
  • Awaited for their independent state, suffered percecution
  • Kurdistan workers party (PKK): organisation using conflict to bring about kurdish nation, Known as terorist group
