ACTIVITY Flashcards

1
Q

Ventricular Tachycardia Nurse Intervention

A
  1. Check patient responsiveness
  2. If responsive check carotid pulse and breathing for 5-10 seconds
  3. If pulse and breathing is present check if HR is greater than 150
  4. If patient is unstable immediately implement synchronized cardioversion
  5. If patient is unresponsive check carotid pulse and breathing for 5-10 seconds
  6. If there is no pulse/breathing call for help and start CPR
  7. Once crash cart arrives apply defibrillator

DEFIBRILLATOR STEPS
1. CPR 2 min
2. Rhythm and pulse check
