Q

Presentation of Juvenile Cushing’s Syndrome ?
And what is it ?

A

Cushing syndrome (CS) is a multisystem disorder that results from the prolonged exposure to excess glucocorticoids. It is characterized by growth deceleration, weight gain, truncal obesity, facial plethora, and hypertension. In children, CS most commonly results from the exogenous administration of steroids. Endogenous causes of CS are rare, and include ACTH overproduction from a pituitary adenoma, or adrenal hypersecretion of cortisol secondary to an adenoma, carcinoma, or hyperplasia; ectopic causes are rare.
