Q

How to measure temperature and minimise errors?

A

Use a thermometer or a temperature probe
Insert probe into he soil or pond until reading is established. Take multiple readings to calculate a reliable average. Ensure that the reading has stabilised before taking the reading because if you take the measurement before it has stabilised then you might be making an error.

Q

How to measure PH and minimise errors?

A

You use a PH meter or a chemical test (PH indicator)
Insert PH probe into soil and read from scale take multiple readings to calculate an average. Make sure to wipe the probe to ensure that moisture from a previous reading does not effect the results and cause an error.

Q

How to measure light intensity and minimise errors?

A

You use a light meter.
You have to hold the light sensitive panel toward the light to be measured and read result from scale. Take multiple readings to calculate an average. Make sure to not cast a shadow over the panel otherwise your reading will be wrong.

Q

How to measure soil moisture and minimise errors?

A

You would use a moisture meter.
You instep the probe into soil until the reading has stabilised. Take multiple readings to calculate an average. You must make sure to wipe the probe to ensure that moisture from a previous doesn’t affect the results and cause an error.
