What happens in the Alpha motor neuron?

A

1.Cerebal cortex impulses down and stimulates the cell bodies in the anterior gray horn and it generates action potentials
2.Action potentials go down the axon and open the protein channels allowing Na+ ions in, making it positive, these positive ions go down the axon (Depolarisation)
3.The postive ions activate the other protein channels at +30MV allowing Ca+ ions to enter into the axon.

What happens in the acetylcholine?

A

1.The vesicles are made in the cell bodies in the anterior gray horn golgi apparatus
2.Acetylcholine are 2 names acetyl and choline, choline comes from food which is absorbed by the GI tract and into the blood.

What happens in the Mitochondria?

A
  1. Mitochondria has acetyl Coa
  2. Choline comes from the blood and goes in the synaptic bulb
  3. Acetyl and choline fuse together to make acetylcholine through cholineacetyl transferase enzyme

What happens in the protein channels vesicles?

A
  1. H+ (Proton) goes from low to high concentration, so the proton goes in the channels intothe vesicles through using ATP
  2. Once it is in the vesicle it want to go to a low concentraction so the proton leaves through the other channels
  3. Once the proton leaves it allows the ACH to enter the vesicles

What are the v-snare and t-snare proteins?

A

V-snare=synaptogmin and synaptobrevin
T-snare= Snap25 and syntaxin.

What happens in the exocytosis?

A

1.The Ca+ ions activates the proteins(synaptogmin and synaptobrevin,Snap25 and syntaxin) to twist together
2.Once this are twisted together it pull the synaptic vesicle closr to the cell membrane, make it exposed to the synpatic cleft.

What is the repolarisation?

A
    • 30MV also activates another channels on the other side
  1. Once it is activated it allows K+ ions to leave the axon, which make the axon negative -70MV
