-Single celled
-Do not have a nucleus
-Nuclear material found in the cytoplasm

What is bacteria?
A
-Microscopic single-celled organisms
-Contains Cell wall & Membrane and plasmids
- Lack nucleus and mitochondria

How do bacteria feed?
A
-Some can carry out photosynthesis even though they lack chloroplasts, they instead have chlorophyl and enzymes needed for photosynthesis
-Most feed on dead organisms, called decomposers
