Bandwidth, Latency and Collision Flashcards
1
Q
Bandwidth
A
maximum amount of data transmitted over a network connection in a given amount of time, typically measured in bits per second (bps) or bytes per second (Bps).
2
Q
Latency
A
time delay between when a data packet sent from one device on network to when received by another device on same network, typically measured in milliseconds (ms).
3
Q
Collision
A
when two or more devices on a network attempt to transmit data at same time, causing data packets to collide with each other and resulting in the data loss.
