Fast for 6 hours
make sure someone is with you to take u home for seddation if needed

A
LA sprayed in back of mouth and given mouth guard
Lay on L.side for small flexible tube inserted into food pipe
Pictures + biopsies taken
Should last 15 mins

Complication of endoscopy
A
Dark stool (little bit of blood from the endoscopy)
Gassy / abdominal pain
Sore throat from LA
CAN CAUSE SMALL TEARS => FURTHER SX + ABx

What is the big complication of endoscopy other than perforation
A
Medistinitis
