Varied landscape with mountains, valleys and coastal plains.

What are the characteritics of Fiano?
Medium acidity, medium to full body with aromas of stone fruit, melons and mangos. Typically drunk young but can be matured in oak and develop into wax and honey.
What is the most important black variety in Campania?
Agliaco.
high acid and tannin with flavours of black fruit. Can develop into forest floor and earthy notes.
Taurasi DOCG.
Where is Basilicata and what is the dominant grape?
Just below Campania

Vast agricutural where large volumes of grapes are grown.

Black variety, full bodied,medium tannin and acid, high alcohol and baked red fruits. Best comes from Salice Salentino DOC

Full bodied, medium tannin and acidity, high alcohol nd ripe berry

Nero d’avola

Where is Etna DOC?
Located in Sicily, produced from low yielding wine at high altitudes.
What are important reds from Etna DOC and what are they like?
Made from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio which when blended together make fragrant wines with high acid, high tannin, aromas of sour cherries, raspberries, cranberries and dried herbs.
What are the white wines from Etna like?
Medium body with high acidity, typicallu citrus with stoney, steely character and can develop into honey and wax with bottle age.
