Q

What do we start with?

A

= stock solution- 100% concentration
= do 1 part water 9 parts stock solution- 10%
= 1 part 10% solution 9 parts water- 1%
= 1 part 1% solution, 9 parts water- 0.1% concentration
= each time mix thoroughly

Q

What are the advantages of doing this?

A

= allows to make solutions with low concentrations- without having to measure it out small volumes
= improves accuratley
