Anorexia Nervosa

A

A. Restriction of energy intake, leading to significantly low body weight defined as a weight that is less than minimally normal

B. intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat, or persistent behavior that interferes w weight gain.

C. Disturbance in the way one experiences their body.

Specifiers:
- Restricting type: During last 3 mnts no recurrent binge episodes/purging
- Binge/purging type: has engaged in either

Bulimia Nervosa

A

A. Recurrent episodes of binge eating characterised by:
- Eating in discrete period of time larger amount than what most would eat
- Sense of lack of control over eating

B. Recurrent inappropriate compensatory behavior to prevent weight gain like purge, laxative etc.

C. Binge and compensatory both occur at least once a week for 3 mts.

D. Self evaluation is influenced by body shape and weight

E. Disturbance does not occur exclusively during AN episode

Binge Eating Disorder

A

A. Recurrent episodes of binge eating
- Eating a definitely larger amount of food than most people in a discrete period
- Sense of lack of control

B. Binge eppisodes are associated w three om of the following:
- Much more rapid eating
- Until feeling uncomfortably full
- Large amounts of food when not physically hungry
- Alone, bc feeling embarrassed
- Feeling disgusted with self/guilty

C. Marked distress regarding binging

D. occurs at least 1ce a week for 3 mts

E. Not ass with use of compensatory behavior.

Avoidant/Restrictive Food intake Disorder

A

A. Eating of feeding disturbance (eg. lack of interest/sensory characteristics) associated w one or more of:
- Sign weight loss (failure to achieve weight)
- Sign. nutritional deficiency
- Dependence on enteral feeding or oral nutritional supp.
- Marked interference with psychosocial functioning

B. Not better explained by lack of available foor

C. Not occur exclusively dduring course of AN or BN, no disturbance in body weigth/shape experience

D. Not attributable to concurrent medical condition

Gambling Disorder

A

A. Persistent and recurrent problematic gambling behavior to clinically sign impairment or distress as indicated by 4 om of the following in 12 mnt period
- Need to gamble w increasing amount of money to achieve excitement
- Restless or irritable when attempting to cut down/stop
- Has made repeated unsuccessful efforts to control
- Is often preoccupied w gambling
- Often gambles when feeling distressed
- After losing, returns other day to ‘get even’ (= chasing, unique to GD)
- Lies to conceal extent of involvement
- Has jeopardized or lost sign. relationship/job/educational/career opportunity
- Relies on others to provide money for gambling

B. Not better explained by manic episode

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

A

A. Presence of obsessions, compulsions or both:

Obsessions:
- Recurrent and persistent thoughts, urges or images that are experienced at some time during the disturbance as intrusive and unwanted. In most indivi cause marked anxiety or distress
- Indivi attempts to ignore or suppress such thoughts, urges or images to neutralize them with other thought/action (eg compulsion)

Compulsion:
- Repetitive behavior or mental acts that indivi feels driven to perform in response to an obsession or according o rules that must be applied rigidly.
- These acts are aimed at preventing or reducing anxiety or distress, or preventing some dreaded event or situation. these behaviors/acts are not connected in a realistic way with what they are disigned to neutralize/prevent.

B. Time-consuming or cause significant distress or impairment in social/occupational/other important area of functioning

C. Not attributable to physiological effects of substance/medical condition

D. Not better explained by other mental disorder
