Absolute location
is the exact spot where something is located on Earth’s surface
Relative location
refers to location based on a landmark of some type
Direction
Utilizes cardinal directions such as north, south, east, west or combinations of them

refers to precise distance in terms of some unit of measurement like feet, miles, etc.
Relative distance
refers to a feeling of nearness or closeness based on how connected or disconnected two places might be

Uses lines and sometimes color. The lines connect areas of equal value
