cell structure Flashcards
whats the structure lysosomes
spheres made up of a lipid bilayer that encloses fluid that contains a variety of hydrolytic enzymes.
whats inside a nucleus
nucleolus
nuclear membrane
nuclear pores
chromatin network
what is inside the mitochondrion
matrix
cristae
what is a nucleolus
a spherical structure found in the cell’s nucleus whose primary function is to produce and assemble the cell’s ribosomes.
what is a nuclear membrane
a double layer that encloses the cell’s nucleus, where the chromosomes are in
what is a nuclear pores
A nuclear pore is a minute opening or passage way through the nuclear envelope. It connects the nucleoplasm (nucleus) with the cytoplasm. The opening is ‘plugged’ with an amazing biological valve that only permits selected chemicals to move into and out of the nucleus.
