Right of way rules Flashcards

Q

Right of way summary

A

Aircraft that have right of way are to maintain heading and speed, but when needed, take any safe action to best avert a collision.

Aircraft that are required to give way are to avoid passing over or under the other aircraft and avoid crossing ahead of other aircraft unless passing well clear and taking into account wake turbulence.

A

Aircraft that has the other on its right must give way except that power driven aircraft give way to airships, gliders, balloons, aircraft towing anything. Airships give way to gliders and balloons. Gliders give way to balloons. All aircraft give way to parachutes.
