summarise the DSM five for four marks

A

-diagnostic manual that includes all mental health disorders used by clinicians to diagnose paitents
-multi-axilclassification. axis 1,2,3 individual specific criteria disorders are listed under 16 major catagories listing symptoms and features to diagnose e.g diagnnosing depression as a mood disorder
-axis 4looks at the psychological and enviromental issues over the last 12months that could have impacted behaviour
- axis five GAF at paitnets everyday functioning in society. score 0-100 higher score, more functioning you are
-greater emphasis on cultural differences- includes an interview schedual to follow if paitents are from a different culture to you
