Metroclopramide - helps improve gut mobility
Bowel softener (laxido)
Dexamethasone (reduce pressure and oedema for partial bowel obstruction)

Reduces abdominal motility and secretions - good for constipation and crampy pain

Why would you want to stop steroids if a patient has a bowel obstruction?

Steroids make people hungry - cruel to do so
