Characteristics of the Epidermis (top layer)

A

A thin layer of flat, dead cells that are always being shred. This is a waterproof and protective layer and also protects against elements such as the Sun, Rain and other elements such as Bacteria and Germs entertaining your body and bloodstream that could potentially cause an infection.

Characteristics of the Dermis (middle layer)

A

A thicker layer that supports the Epidermis above it by enabling the passage of nutarians and oxygen, its produces sweat through the skin pours and warms and cools the body.

Characteristics of the Subcutaneous / Hypodermis (bottom layer)

A

The fatty layer of Skin, cushions muscles and bones and protects muscles and bones from injuries when you fall, it also regulates body temperature by stopping you getting too cold or too hot.

A

Component - Thermoreceptors

Description: The thermoreceptors located in the dermis and epidermis and allows temperature changes across the entire body surface.

This information helps the body initiate appropriate responses, such as perspiration or vasoconstriction, to maintain a stable internal temperature.
