What does the kidney do?

A

Filters out blood and removing waste. The waste is considered urine and is passed onto the ureter.

What do the ureter do?

A

There are two of them. One connected to each kidney and leads to the bladder. They are muscular tubes that carry out the urine from the kidney and to the bladder.

What does the bladder do?

A

Holds blood. 300-500 ml of urine at a time. The main function is to hold bladder until it is full.

What does the urethra do?

A

The brain sends a signal to the bladder that releases the urine into the urethra. Transports urine out of the body.

A

Takes out salt, water, and glucose.

It is extremely salty, so water is diffused out and reclaimed by capillaries.

What is ADH?

A

Antidiuretic Hormone. A chemical that the brain produces that makes the kidneys produce less water making less urine. This regulates water in the body.
