وَتَبّ

and perish he

تَبَّت يَدَآ أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبّ

Answer 6

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he

Que périssent les deux mains d’Abû-Lahab et que lui-même périsse

أَغنَىٰ

(will) avail

عَنهُ

مَالُهُۥ

his wealth

وَمَا

and what

he earned

Question 13

مَآ أَغنَىٰ عَنهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَب

Answer 13

His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained

Sa fortune ne lui sert à rien, ni ce qu’il a acquis

Question 14

سَيَصلَىٰ

Answer 14

he will be burnt

Question 15

نَارًا

Answer 15

(in) a fire

Question 16

ذَاتَ

Answer 16

لَهَب

Answer 17

blazing flames

Question 18

سَيَصلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَب

Answer 18

He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame

Il sera brûlé dans un Feu plein de flammes

Question 19

وَٱمرَأَتُهُۥ

Answer 19

and his wife

Question 20

حَمَّالَةَ

Answer 20

(the) carrier

Question 21

ٱلحَطَب

Answer 21

(of) firewood

Question 22

وَٱمرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلحَطَب

Answer 22

And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood

De même sa femme, la porteuse de bois

فِي

جِيدِهَا

Answer 24

her neck

Question 25

حَبلٌ

Answer 25

(will be) a rope

Question 26

مِّن

مَّسَد

palm-fiber

Question 28

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبلٌۭ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ

Answer 28

Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
